Araniella (Mattie Dearden) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Spider-Woman III and DC Comics' Obsession.
History
Mattie Dearden was an obsessed Spider-Boy fan who became enraged when the young hero announced his engagement to Insect Queen. Believing that nobody could love Spider-Boy but her, Mattie took five magical coins from a museum and used them to give herself superpowers. Creating a costume, she took on the identity of Araniella (the name of a genus of orb-weaving spiders) and tried to prove that she was Spider-Boy's prefect mate.
