Challengers of the Fantastic are the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four and DC Comics' Challengers of the Unknown.

History

The Challengers of the Fantastic consisted of several "death-cheating" agents, as they were nicknamed. Situated in a cave inside Fantastic Mountain, they monitored the area outside New York City and offered help where it was needed.

Access to New York City is usually from the airplane hangar built into the mountain itself, although there are rumors of caverns leading from the base into the valley below.

Members

Prof Richards - A scientist affiliated with Project Cadmus.
Ace Storm - An agent affiliated with S.H.I.E.L.D. and Prof's love interest.
Rocky Grimm/Four-Armed Thing - A senator who was temporarily transformed into a four-armed rock-like creature by Galactiac.
Red Storm - A young daredevil affiliated with Project Cadmus and Ace's younger brother; he is equipped with a flamethrower.
June Masters (honorary) - The scientist daughter of Multi-Masters and Rocky's love interest.
Tino Lumpkin - A postman and the Storms' half-brother; he was a Challenger during the Silver Age only.
