Challengers of the Fantastic are the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four and DC Comics' Challengers of the Unknown.
Members
The Challengers of the Fantastic consisted of several "death-cheating" agents, as they were nicknamed. Most of them had the alternate identities of the Fantastic Four, which dominated most of the series. Members were
- Ace Storm - A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent caught in a love triangle between Prof Richards and the Aqua Mariner. She is the Amalgam of Marvel's Invisible Woman and DC Comics' Ace Morgan.
- Rocky Grimm/Four-Armed Thing - A senator who was transformed into a four-armed rock-like creature by Galactiac. After being freed from Galactiac's control, he felt a device should be constructed to control his transformation. He is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' The Thing and DC Comics' Rocky Davis and Four-Armed Terror.
- Prof Richards - A Project Cadmus scientist. He is the Amalgam of Marvel's Mister Fantastic and DC Comics' Prof Haley.
- Red Storm - A young daredevil, Cadmus staff member, and Ace's brother who carries a flamethrower. He is the Amalgam of Marvel's Human Torch and DC Comics' Red Ryan.
- June Masters - An honorary Challenger and scientist and the daughter of Multi-Masters. Though she was accidentally blinded by Rocky Grimm during a confrontation with Diablo the Volcano Man, she is romantically involved with him nonetheless. She later cured Prof. Reed of the evil DNA that had infected his body. She is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Alicia Masters and DC Comics' June Robbins.
- Tino Lumpkin - A postman and the Storms' half-brother who was a Challenger in the Silver Age but was not a member in the "re-releases". He is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Willie Lumpkin and DC Comics' Tino Ryan.
The Team
Situated in a cave inside Fantastic Mountain outside New York City, the Challengers of the Fantastic operate similar to International Rescue of the Thunderbirds series, monitoring the area and offering help where it is needed.
Access to New York City is usually from the airplane hangar built into the mountain itself, although there are rumors of caverns leading from the base into the valley below.

The Challengers of the Fantastic were an amalgamation of Fantastic Four from Marvel Comics and Challengers of the Unknown from DC Comics intentionally because of Jack Kirby and their closeness in time of being created.
