Countess Vertigo (Verna Vertigo) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Vertigo and DC Comics' Count Vertigo.

History

Verna Vertigo was the last surviving member of the royal family of the country of Sloretava (an amalgam of Marvel's Slorenia and DC Comics' Vlatava). Determined to restore her country's power and wealth, Verna underwent a procedure to gain superpowers. She became the villainous Countess Vertigo and vowed to steal back every thing that Sloretava had lost and make it a world power once again.

Powers

Countess Vertigo has the power to generate swirling psychokinetic waves that distort the equilibrium of the human brain and heavily affect the inner ears of her victims. Her powers cause severe dizziness and nausea and can even render people unconscious. Her psionic waves can even disrupt the powers of other superhumans. Countess Vertigo’s powers can also affect the balance of non-living things, such as the guidance systems in missiles and the targeting systems of automated weaponry.
