Dark Claw Beyond
Dark Claw Beyond (Laura McGinnis) is an Amalgam of Marvel's X23 and DC Comics' Batman Beyond.
History[]
In an alternate timeline, Logan Wayne had lost his healing factor and was becoming too old to continue his mission. In order to ensure that there would always be a Dark Claw, he found a couple that was as genetically and psychologically close to his parents as possible, Warren and Sarah McGinnis.
Logan injected them both with a serum containing half of his DNA, so that their potential child would be a duplicate of himself. While Warren and Sarah did have a child, it turned out to be female due to damage on the Y chromosome in the serum. Dark Claw however gave up on the girl, who was named Laura, taking his place since she never manifested any metamutant powers.
Laura grew up loved and happy, until criminals from a street gang known as the Hyenaz killed her father. Her metamutant powers manifested due to the stress and she hunted down the Hyenaz, who had set up a hideout near the ruins of the Dark Claw's Barrow. After beating the gang, Laura set off genetic sensors that registered her as Dark Claw and she accidentally opened a tunnel that led to the Barrow.
Meeting Logan, whom she nicknamed "Old Man Wayne", she convinced him to help her become a hero. Laura underwent the adamantium bonding process that Dark Claw had previously endured and gained unbreakable bones and retractable metal talons. Outfitted in a high-tech Dark Claw-inspired costume, Laura became Dark Claw Beyond.
Powers[]
Dark Claw Beyond shares many of the same powers as the original Dark Claw, such as superhuman sense and an advanced healing factor. She has two retractable adamantium claws in each hand and one in each foot.
Dark Claw has the unique ability to mask her own scent, making it difficult to track her.
