Deianira

Deianira (Donna Darrow) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Magdalene and DC Comics' Troia.

History[]

In a parallel timeline where Ororo never arrived on Themyscira, a young Princess Diana wanted a playmate. With the aid of an Amazonian sorceress using an enchanted mirror and a fragment of her own soul, she transformed her reflection into her own twin sister. However, an enemy of Diana's mother, the Fallen Angel, sought to kill Diana. She destroyed the mirror twin thinking she was the real Diana. The fragment of Diana's soul was reincarnated as the infant Donna Darrow.

The Titans of Greek myth, predecessors to the Greek gods, took Donna when she was orphaned in a fire and raised her their hidden city on the Moon. The Titans intended Donna to be their champion, in the same way Diana was the champion of the gods. Once she reached adulthood, Donna was renamed Deianira, after the woman who killed Hercules in ancient myths, and given armor and powers before being sent to Earth.

Deianira was one of the last heroes standing when a cataclysmic event destroyed her world, and the Titans told her of her true origins and used the last of their power to send her to the prime reality. Lost and alone, she sought out the version of her sister Diana that existed in the new world. Diana took her to Themyscira and she was made an member of her family and member of the Amazons.

Powers[]

Deianira has superhuman strength and durability. She also is much faster than a normal human and can leap great distances. She wields an unbreakable staff created by the Titans that can fire blasts of arcane energy or create protective force fields.

Deianira is a highly trained warrior with skills in hand-to-hand combat and the use of polearm weapons.

Trivia[]

  • Deianira is unrelated to Wonder Girl, another Troia-inspired amalgam and one of Dial H.U.S.K.'s alternate personas.
