Golden Shield (Joseph Harper) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Blue Shield and DC Comics' Golden Guardian.

History

After Tom Harper retired from heroics and founded Project Cadmus, he decided that Cadmus needed to create a clone of himself to be their chief of security. The clone was created with all of the best aspects of Tom's DNA genetically enhanced. The clone was given identity of Tom's "son" Joseph Harper.

Joseph was trained to be a hero and given a belt that emitted a force-field, becoming the Golden Shield. As Golden Shield, his primary duty is to protect Project Cadmus from the Agenda Corporation.

Powers

Golden Shield has a "genetically perfect" body and has enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, and agility.

Golden Shield initially wore a belt that surrounded him with a near-invulnerable force-field. However prolonged exposure to the belt's radiation gave him the power to generate the force-field on his own, using his own bio-energy.
