Human Nova

Human Nova (Richard Lincoln) is an Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Nova and DC Comics Human Bomb.

History

Richard Lincoln and his father were working on an experimental explosive derived from fuel from an alien spacecraft from the planet Xandar. When the fluid detonated, Richard was covered in volatile chemicals and gained the ability to make objects explode with by touch. However, his new powers put so much strain on Richard that he went into a coma. While recovering in the hospital, Richard was contacted telepathically by Garthan Colos of Xandar, a member of the Dark Nova Corps. Garthan pulled Richard out of his coma and teleported a modified Dark Nova battle suit to him to contain his powers. With the suit allowing him to control his explosive energy, Richard became the Human Nova before eventually joining the Freedom Defenders.

Powers and abilities

Human Nova can cause objects to explode with a touch. While he has had difficulty controlling this power in the past, his suit gives him better control.

Human Nova's suit also gives him superhuman strength, flight, and the ability to focus his powers into concussive blasts.
