Max Speed (Max Sanders) is the Amalgam of Marvel's Speed Demon and DC's Max Mercury. When Max Sanders was exposed to a strange pink substance that left a lighting bolt shaped mark on his chest, he found that he was imbued with superhuman speed. Designing a costume, Max became Max Speed, the master of velocity! He became a mentor to the young hero, Mercury, helping the metamutant teenager control his own super-speed powers.
