Midnight Light (Beth Freeman) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Blacklight and DC Comics' Dr. Midnight.

History

Beth Freeman was doctor who had studied medicine under the tutelage of Max McNider (the hero once known as the Midnight Shroud). While working with an experimental MRI machine, a malfunction exposed her to dangerous levels of ultraviolet radiation that blinded her. Max used his shadow powers to try and heal her by absorbing the radiation in her eyes and accidentally gave her the power to see in total darkness using other wavelengths of the EM spectrum. She learned that she could also manipulate ultraviolet light. Deciding to carry on her mentor's legacy, Beth became Midnight Light.

Powers

Midnight Light can see in the dark using other electromagnetic wavelengths such as infrared and radio waves.

Midnight Light can create focus ultraviolet light into solid energy objects or use it to fire powerful blacklight energy blasts. She can also fly by riding the electromagnetic energies around her.
