Midnight Shroud (Max McNider) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Shroud and DC Comics' Dr. Mid-Nite.

History

When Dr. Max McNider was called in to save an injured man, he didn't know that the patient was a cultist in the Cult of Kali. When Max went to check the man's wounds, the cultist struck Max in the face with a mystical brand before he died. The brand blinded max, but he found that he now could see via extrasensory perception when it was dark. He found that he could also manipulate darkness and shadows. Deciding to bring down the Cult of Kali and their criminal underworld, Max became the Midnight Shroud.

Powers

Midnight Shroud can use a shadowy clairvoyance to see using psychic awareness despite being blinded. He can extend his psychic awareness through solid objects and "see" through walls. He powers only function in the dark however.

Midnight Shroud can control shadows, able to create an area of absolute darkness around himself or others.

He supplements his powers with an array of gadgets like smoke bombs and crescent moon-shaped boomerangs.
