Octo-Marauder (Otto Octavius) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Doctor Octopus and DC Comics' Marine Marauder.

History

Otto Octavius was a brilliant scientist who worked for Project Cadmus, acting as a surrogate parent for Spider-Boy. He was also a friend of Mary Jane Watson's parents. Sometime after Mary Jane was transformed into the Insect Queen, Otto set her up on a blind date with Pete Ross.

When a lab experiment caused Otto's mechanical tentacles to be fused to his body, the artificial intelligence in the tentacles was able to take over his brain and turn him into a supervillain. Known as the Octo-Marauder, he was a deadly foe to Spider-Boy until the teen hero was able to separate Otto from the tentacles.

Powers

Octo-Marauder has four cybernetic tentacles that possess their own intelligence and are equipped with razor sharp claws as well as electrical weaponry. The tentacles can also emit radio frequencies that affect the brains of sea creatures and allows Octo-Maruader to command marine life.
