Orchid Mantis
Orchid Mantis (Susan Brandt) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Mantis and DC Comics' Black Orchid.
History[]
Susan Brandt thought she was a normal human, as she worked as a blackjack dealer at a casino. Susan was killed when she accused a criminal of cheating, however she was reborn in a new body that was part plant. She remembered that she had been raised by the Priests of the lost city of Nanda Parbat to be the Celestial Madonna and trained in both the martial arts and in the use of her psychic powers. The Priests of Parbat had her memories wiped at the age of 18 and sent her into the world to experience life as a normal human. Now in her new body with amazing new powers, Susan became the Orchid Mantis.

Orchid Mantis has the empathic ability to sense the emotions of living creatures through the antennae on her head which are sensitive to psychic vibrations. She has a strong empathic connection to plants and can psionically manipulate the vegetation around her. She has the limited telepathic power to affect the senses of others, allowing her to cloak herself and others from being perceived or create mental illusions in the minds of others. Orchid Mantis has precognitive powers that let her get glimpses of the future.
Orchid Mantis's plant-based body is stronger and more durable than that of a normal human and she can regenerate damaged tissue quickly, allowing her to heal from most injuries in seconds.
The Priests of Nanda Parbat trained Orchid Mantis in multiple forms of martial arts, making her a skilled combatant.
