Phoenix Rider (Giraud Ryder) is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Phoenix IX and DC Comics' Waverider.

History

Giraud Ryder was a telekinetic metamutant from the a dark, dystopian future. In his timeline, all heroes had been crushed under the rule of the War Monarch. Giraud decided that the only way to prevent his timeline from occurring was to go back in time and erase War Monarch from history. As he traveled back in time, Giraud accidentally fused with a cosmic entity who existed outside the time stream. No longer Giraud, the newly born Phoenix Rider emerged in the present with one goal, find the person who would become the War Monarch and stop them from ever existing.

Powers

Phoenix Rider is a metamutant with the power of telekinesis. His power allows him to move, lift and manipulate most forms of matter using only the psychic energy generated by his thoughts.

After fusing with the cosmic entity, Phoenix Rider gained the power to manipulate cosmic energy which allows him to fire energy blasts, create forcefields, teleport, and fly at the speed of light. When he uses his cosmic energy, he is surrounded by a fiery aura in the shape of a bird.

Phoenix Rider has the power to control temporal energy, which allows him to time travel and even gives him a limited ability to manipulate the flow of time in his surrounding area.

Phoenix Rider has the power of precognition and can see the future. He can also merge his mind with other people's minds and see their possible futures across multiple timelines.
