History[]

Stewart Rhodes was originally Luke Stewart, a teenaged gang member who was framed for a crime he didn't commit and sent to juvenile detention. His parents cut ties with him and after he was released he was taken in by the parents of his cousin, Jim Rhodes. He changed his name to Stewart Rhodes and became an engineer, eventually getting hired by Hal Stark. Stewart was exposed to the energy of Hal's Iron Lantern battery and developed superhuman strength and the power to generate the same green energies as the Iron Lantern. He fashioned a ring from pieces of the Iron Lantern armor to help him focus his energy and became the Power Lantern.
