Rhomann Sur is the Amalgam of Marvel Comics' Rhomann Dey and DC Comics' Abin Sur.
History[]
Rhomann Sur was an agent of Oa the Living Planet who had been shot down by alien invaders while on route to Earth. After his spaceship crashed outside of Coast City, he used his remaining energy to bring Hal Stark by levitating his stationary flight-simulator. However, Rhomann Sur died before he could deliver a message, having drank a sort of poison after bringing Stark to the wreckage. With Stark close to death from the impact himself, he used the wreckage of Rhomann Sur's ship to construct the Iron Lantern suit. Rhomann Sur's death was later avenged when Iron Lantern defeated the alien invaders that shot him down.
